Position Overview:

The Associate Director of Programs (AD – Programs) will lead iDE’s program portfolio with a focus on business development, growth, and innovation. The role involves overseeing program design, implementation, and quality control while aligning projects with iDE’s mission and strategic objectives. The AD will drive business development, secure funding, and build partnerships to expand iDE’s impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Develop and implement a business strategy, identify funding priorities, build relationships with donors, and oversee proposal development.
• Program Leadership & Quality Assurance: Manage programs, ensure performance standards and financial compliance, and lead adaptive management practices.
• Staff Development & Mentorship: Mentor program managers, build team capacity, and ensure staff growth.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s in International Development, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 8-10 years in program control and business evolution within worldwide development.
• Skills: Expertise in Market Systems Development (MSD), women’s enterprise development, leadership, communication, and financial management.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.

Physical Demands:

• Primarily office-based with approximately 30% travel.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and see at various distances.
