We are looking to recruit a Semi-Senior Accountant with a proven track record in audit to support the growth of our Stockport-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking firm, where you’ll have the opportunity to develop and progress in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
- Audit Work:
- Work alongside the Audit Manager and Seniors to carry out statutory assurance audits, taking responsibility for completing the audit file.
- Lead some audits, from planning through to fieldwork, onsite supervision, and completion, to build experience and take ownership of the process.
- Client Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary contact for them.
- Provide regular updates, financial insights, and management reporting to clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Financial Statement Preparation:
- Prepare financial statements for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assist in producing cash flow and budgetary reports, as well as any ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Mentoring and Development:
- Support and mentor junior staff, assisting with their development and ensuring the team works efficiently.
- Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities, including full support for obtaining ACA/ACCA qualification.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is newly qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA.
- Has strong knowledge of accounts and audit, with previous experience working in a practice environment.
- Possesses excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Has the ability to manage client relationships, with a desire to progress in an autonomous and supportive environment.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take responsibility for all aspects of an audit.
