Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Development: Lead a diverse engineering team (AI, R&D, hardware, UI/UX), promoting innovation, collaboration, and growth.
• Strategic Planning: Work with the executive team to align engineering goals with business objectives, managing product and technology roadmaps.
• Technical Oversight: Enhance team productivity, resolve technical debt, and implement best practices for software and hardware development.
• Resource Management: Manage subcontractors and partnerships for hardware, software, and AI research.
• Product Development: Drive the creation and productization of offshoot products, meeting P&L goals and ensuring timely, high-quality deliveries.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure effective communication between product management and engineering teams.
• Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, including cloud hosting and third-party software costs.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in engineering leadership, particularly in software development and cloud technologies.
• Proven track record in architecting and developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.

• Experience working with outsourced design firms for hardware and software projects.
